THE IMPACT OF KNOWLEDGE
Information that altered the trajectory of the future.
This student is truly generational. They study neuroscience in their free time, are trying to uncover the phenomenon that is the flow-state, and looks out for their peers and community while maintaining grades. However, this student initially chose to go to a local university or even community college due to finances. However the institutions the student was set on were never going to give him the kind of education and resources they needed. Through countless meetings, I was able to convince them the caliber of student they are by communicating the different resources at schools of higher standard, and how the student would be able to take advantage of those resources to achieve their goals.
From there, we worked tirelessly through multiple drafts of his college essays, extracurriculars to round out their application, and dissected all the activities they have done that have positively affected his community. After 6 months of non-stop effort, the student was awarded the University of Texas Impact Scholarship a full-ride scholarship awarded to <1% of applicants.
